Transcript of letter to all tenants

PROPERTIES OF THE CO-OP

In light of the recent tragedy at Grenfell Tower in London I wanted to write to all of Forgewood HousingCooperative tenantsto advise them about the situation with ourproperties. I can confirm that Forgewood Housing Co-op do not have anyproperties over 4storeys.We have 21 closes with 3 levels and 3 closes that are 4 storey in height.  We do nothave any over cladding in our properties.  Forgewood Housing Co-op also actin partnership with Scottish Fireand Rescue Servicein a renewed campaign on fire safety and I attach an example of the literature which we are distributing toallour tenants. These should already be displayed on our common areas.  Fire safety has always beena priority for the Co-operative and we are committed to work with partners including the Scottish Fire and RescueService to take the opportunity to review and update procedures inthe best interests of all of thecommunity. Please also remember that the Co-op has been proactively making referrals for home safety assessments to Fire and Rescue and if this is something you would like to take up, please get in touch with the Co-op and we will pass on your details.
