Marina Johnstone - Tribute

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Marina Johnstone, a much‑loved neighbour, friend, former committee member, and dedicated tenant volunteer.

Marina had been unwell for around a year and, very sadly, passed away in May.

The large turnout at her funeral was a clear reflection of the high regard in which she was held.  Marina had strong and lasting connections to the Co‑operative in many ways, but above all, she was a devoted mum, gran, aunt, sister, and a true friend to so many.

Before joining our Management Committee, Marina was an active member of the Forgewood Registered Tenant Organisation (RTO), alongside her Aunt Iris.  She also devoted many years to caring for Iris in the family home, which she shared with her daughters, Margaret and Jennifer.

Marina will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  The thoughts of the Management Committee and staff team are with her family at this very sad time.
